Be aware - the Heart of the Valley Triathlon has moved up by a full month!
In the past, the HOTV Tri was always held on Memorial Day weekend. Maybe thinking they'd attract more racers by moving it off the holiday, the 2013 edition will be held on Sunday, April 21st.
Hopefully, it will increase the number of racers, because it is a bit of a risky move. The last weekend in May is hardly guaranteed for good weather, but it sure has a better shot of it than the middle of April. And moving it up that far puts it just two weeks after another Corvallis triathlon, the Beaver Freezer.
