Sounds like a great time to run a marathon, right?
I'm not too happy about this. Not that I'm expecting great things here anyway, but I've already had to put up with torrential rains at my last marathon (Newport) and my last Half Marathon (Runaway Pumpkin). I'm sick of running in the rain.
Think good thoughts, runners. Maybe the wind will be blowing in our direction. Remember, it's a point to point course.
Hello, fellow Oregonian! I found this post when I Googled "California International Marathon 2012 weather forecast." Sheesh, are we in for something?! I ran Newport in June as well, but thankfully had a much better experience than it sounds like you did! I also finished in about 4:12, which was a 24 minute PR for me. At this point, I'll just be happy to finish CIM on Sunday with what it looks like we're going to be dealt. Good luck out there!
