Sort of a surprise here. The Eugene Marathon had been the Spring Marathon in Oregon. But they just announced that they're up and moving the whole thing to July 27th for 2014. Same announcement over on the Eugene Marathon's home page here.
I realize they're trying to sell it with "little chance of rain" and as part of Tracktown's big event, but...
I'm seeing a lot of negative comments about it online. I think people were pretty happy with the early spring date. A mid-summer marathon may mean "dry" but it also means "hot." I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
